On November 17-18, 2011 Mr. Marcin Małek, energy specialist, is going to represent Ecoenergia Sp. z o. o. on the III national conference in Wroclaw - "Biomass – technologies, investment projects and financing."

Development entitled "Guidelines for the energy modernization of Soda Polska Ciech for biomass combustion to reduce C02 emission", was commissioned and accomplished as an alternative to the existing gas combustion system for Soda Polska Ciech Sp. z o. o. based in Inowrocław.

The Purchaser ordered to examine the possibility of combustion of biomass under three potential scenarios:

Scenario I

• Janikosoda - deep dry biomass co-firing with dedicated pulverized coal burners.
• Inowrocław - co-firing wet or dry biomass administered to the boiler together with coal using an existing milling system.

Scenario II

• Janikosoda - deep dry biomass co-firing with dedicated pulverized coal burners.
• Inowrocław - deep dry biomass co-firing with dedicated pulverized coal burners.

Scenario III

• Janikosoda - conversion of OP-140 boiler to the biomass boiler.
• Inowrocław - conversion of OP-110 boiler to the biomass boiler.

When analyzing the upgrading scenarios Ecoenergia considered infrastructure conditions for individual variants after the team conducted a detailed analysis of the facts on-site.

Ecoenergia made every possible effort to explore the possibilities of using biomass for each location, conducted balance analysis, taking into account the anticipated production volumes, fuel consumption, costs, etc., having regard to the key environmental indicators.

Ecoenergia Sp. z o.o. has signed an agreement with ENERGA Kogeneracja Sp. z o.o. in Elblag on the construction of a biomass storage and transportation installations and modernization of two coal-fired boilers OP-130 (No. 5 and 6) in order to adapt to biomass dust co-firing. The project is delivered in the "turnkey" formula along with the preparation of documentation to obtain a "WZiZT" construction permit, and finishing with the transfer to the operation.

It is not the first, after previous project execution in ZE Elsen in Czestochowa, combustion installation for biomass in the form of coal dust carried in the past two years by Ecoenergia.

Ecoenergia Sp. z o. o. has been invited to participate in the Tender Committee appointed by the Purchaser and the Investor. The main functions of the company is to prepare answer proposals to bidders questions, participating and advising, as an expert in the technical sphere in all matters that arise during the tendering procedure for the reduction of NO_^x.

Multi-stage realization proceeds by a strict schedule.

Ecoenergia Sp. z o. o. actively provides the technical tender selection criteria and proposes definitions of technical terms and technical requirements relating to the subject of the contract, reviewing and requesting admission of Contractors to the subsequent stages of the tender, assessing the technical part of offers received, and taking an active part in the negotiations.

Currently, analysis of technical issues proposed by the Contractors is made.

Further tasks will include preparation of a contract notice in the technical aspects and technical assumptions for the tender documentation necessary to carry out the contract award procedure for the implementation of the project undertaken, the analysis of applications in technical aspects as well as developing and presenting a report to the Purchaser containing analysis and evaluation of technical bids and a proposal to select the best tender according to technical criteria.

Finally, Ecoenergia Sp. z o. o. will prepare the technical scope of the contract draft with the successful contractor to execute the project.
